BEST PRACTICES AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS:
THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CHINESE ART CONSERVATION
12–14 December 2023
Visit the city's new cultural landmark — the Hong Kong Palace Museum — and join the world's leading conservation experts for "Best Practices and Future Directions: The International Symposium on Chinese Art Conservation", organised by the Palace Museum, the Dunhuang Academy, and the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
The 2023 International Symposium on Chinese Art Conservation aims to formulate a roadmap for this fast-changing field both locally and globally and foster international and inter-institutional collaboration. Directors, conservators, and scientists from top-tier institutions will deliver keynote speeches and presentations. Other activities include a roundtable discussion, visits to conservation facilities, and poster display.
The symposium is made possible thanks to the generous support of its Lead Sponsor, Bei Shan Tang Foundation. We are also grateful to our partner, Conservation Office, Leisure and Cultural Services Department; and our collaborator, the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art, as well as other participating organisations.
